Victoria is about 3 hours by car and ferry from Vancouver or Seattle.
Foot-passenger ferries from Seattle and car ferries from Port Angeles, Washington, moor in Victoria's Inner Harbour. Washington State Ferries arrive at Sidney, north of downtown.
Ferries from Tsawwassen, about an hour south of Vancouver, arrive at the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, 35 km (21 mi) north of downtown Victoria. BC Transit buses connect with the ferries on both sides, but it's quicker and easier to take a Pacific Coach Lines bus, which travels on the ferry with you. If you're coming from Whistler you can take BC Ferries from Horseshoe Bay, north of Vancouver, to Nanaimo, about 2 hours north of Victoria.
The Ocean Magic IIwhale-watching boat, operated by Prince of Whales, sails from Vancouver to Victoria daily in summer.
Victoria International Airport is 20 minutes from downtown. Floatplanes from downtown Seattle and Vancouver touch down in the Inner Harbour.
Trains from Courtenay, Nanaimo, and other Vancouver Island towns arrive once a day at Victoria's E&N Station on Johnson Street.
