Fodor's Review:

It's not a hat -- but it does top the list of new restaurants in central Phoenix. From its sleek interior to its central location and diverse clientele, right down to its affordable lunch, happy hour, dinner, Sunday brunch, and late-night menus, FEZ covers everything. "American fare with a Moroccan flair" means bold culinary leaps, with items like the FEZ Burger, kisras (flatbread pizza), and the signature crispy rosemary pomegranate chicken -- but it all lands safely on the taste buds. Potables include specialty martinis and margaritas and a formidable wine list.

More fun than foodie...but what FUN!

My bud and I decided just to hang out, have light food, and enjoy the "Universe of Martinis" that they offer. What a great time just for a casual, flirt spot...and the cool thing for us (I say this because this may not be to all tastes), the flirting goes both ways here, and everybody is comfortable with that. Terrifically stylish spot without any of the snottiness you get in tony Scottsdale Road establishments, great waiters, great looking people of ALL 21-plus age ranges, and while I'd rate the food as more decent than extraordianry, the martinis ARE extraordinary. A fun place, give it a try for a unique experience.

Great Surprise ...

Posted by TuttiTenor from Washington, DC on 1/5/08
We were stuck in Phoenix thanks to US Air, along with hundreds of others, and picked FEZ from Fodors. What a nice surprise! Absolutely wonderful lamb chops; very inventive and tasty "kashi" ... based on a cross with middle-eastern bread and pizza. Pretty nice wine list, very nice decor and excellent service. The loud techo music was a bit younger than our taste, or what we think a restaurant with this kind of culinary skills should be regardless of the age group of the target audience. But we enjoyed the meal a lot. Stay away from the chocolate cake ... nice copy on the menu, but dry and right from Safeway. Everything else gets an "A."
