C-Fu Gourmet

$-$$, Chinese, Chandler

User Rating: **** 4.4

Fodor's Review:

This is serious Chinese food, the kind you'd expect to find on Mott Street in New York City's Chinatown or Grant Avenue in San Francisco. C-Fu's specialty is fish, and you can watch several species swimming around the big holding tanks. Shrimp are fished out of the tank, steamed, and bathed in a potent garlic sauce. Clams in black-bean sauce and tilapia in a ginger-scallion sauce also hit all the right buttons. If you don't find what you're looking for on the menu, tell them what you want and they'll make it. There's a daily dim sum brunch, too.

Dim Sum Paradise -- in a functional space

Posted by willinglendale from Phoenix, AZ on 2/9/08

Forget atmosphere, there isn't any...but who the heck cares when the carts roll endlessly, and the dim sum selection even beats out the Mott Street NYC emporiums I've been too. Amazing, amazing, amazing selection, best dim sum I've ever had. Totally worth the schlep to Chandler!
