Not cheap, but well worth it. Amazingly serene and private. Staff was uber accomodating. Would highly recommend Careneros. Spa also great. Hilltop dining area had some service kinks - that was our only complaint.

An amazing escape

My wife and I came to celebrate a special birthday. From reservations to pre-arrival consierge service to the end our experience at Carneros was wonderful. They even scored us a reservation at the French Laundry! We stayed in a Vineyard Cottage with a full view of the vineyard next door and the hills beyond...just beautiful. We would give it our highest recommendation.

As Nice As It Gets

The Carneros Inn is as nice as any hotel I've ever visited. The grounds are attractive and well manicured - full of perfect green grass, fig trees, apple trees, flowers and hundreds of huge, lush Rosemary bushes. The cottages were gorgeous inside and utterly charming outside. We especially loved the "Private" Patio and al fresco shower. The staff was top-drawer and the Hilltop Restaurant (open only to hotel guests) served one the best meals we had in Napa. In the heart of the Carneros region, the hotel is surrounded by awesome wine country scenery (although very little can be seen from the cottages). The views from the pool, hot tub and restaurant are especially beautiful. I love this place. I would return in a minute.

Booked this on thier web site unseen. I heard a few people talk about the Carneors Inn - a new hot spot in southern Napa that is in the heart of the vineyards. Awesome getaway, design is interesting, country styled buildings, corrragated steel roofs but interiors are layereds with a lot of high end everything. Kind of like camp meets W Hotels, many not as hip but really spot on with the design - I would like to make my home look as comfortable, contemporary and interesting. Individual cottgaes in a village setting, landscaping is natural and bursting with native California color and though the Inn at first seems a bit unusual, boy does it grow on you! Queit, restful, views to make you weep from the infinity pool, delicious food both at the private guests only Hilltop or my favorie, Boon Fly Cafe - breakfast Pizza is NOT to be missed! The cottages are filled with luxury bells and whistles, fireplaces, huge bathrooms with heated floors, deep tubs, a shower for 2 with many many heads and a step out doors of your outdoor shower, and you are in my favorite thing there- the outdoor showers - under the Napa stars on a cool night - yummy! Cottages have a large deck that is loaded with teak furniture, chaises, heat lamps and umbrellas - wish I had all these amenitied at home! The place is laid out well and when in your cottage you feel like the only ones there. So much privacy you do not have to be clothed when lounging around and using that fantastic alfresco shower. The Inn is 45 min north of SF but we felt we were in another world, sweet kind and country friendly staff took care of every need - a warm goat butter massage - thier signiture - will get you to the state of mind to drink in all the natural beauty, eat some great food and of course - enjoy that famous Carneros wine. I plan to go back often!
