Chamberlain

Fodor's Review:

On a leafy residential side street, the Chamberlain is steps from Santa Monica Boulevard and close to the Sunset Strip. Rooms are handsomely tailored in gray and teal, with snappy gray and white Regency-style furniture. The work desks are oversize, but the bathrooms are compact (those in grand rooms have separate shower and tub). Tech extras include flat-screen TVs, cordless phones, and CD players. Beds have pillow-top mattresses. You can soak up the sunshine next to the rooftop pool with dramatic city and Hollywood Hills views. The guests-only dining room and bar serves potent cocktails and a tasty but limited menu.
