Fodor's Review:
Contemporary Italian cooking as prepared in Italy -- an important point in fusion-mad San Diego -- is the rule at this simple restaurant near one of the principal intersections in Pacific Beach. The menu presents Neapolitan-style macaroni with sausage and artichoke hearts in spicy tomato sauce, pappardelle with a creamy Gorgonzola and walnut sauce, plus formal entrées like chicken breast sautéed with balsamic vinegar, and slices of rare filet mignon tossed with herbs and topped with arugula and Parmesan shavings. Impressive daily specials include beet-stuffed ravioli in creamy saffron sauce.

My elder family members are from northern Italy and it is hard for us to eat at Italian restaurants because it never tastes as good as home. But here it is the same. I have brought many a family member here to taste the food like our nona's. No other restaurant compares!
