This historic Beaux Arts hotel offers comfort and elegance right outside Dupont Circle. Spacious rooms have a small work and sitting area, and the building's hilltop location means that many guest rooms have excellent views of Washington. The staff goes out of its way to be helpful, and complimentary morning coffee is offered in the lounge.

Convenient location

Lovely, older, well-maintained hotel just minutes from Dupont Circle and the Metro. One of USA's registered "Natural Trust for Historic Preservation" Hotels, this is NOT for folks who want contemporary, glitzy rooms, 5*** restaurant on site and fancy spa services. But our room was large, clean and comfortable - and the hotel is close to Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan. The staff was courteous and helpful in assisting us with directions around DC. We'll stay there again.

I love this property

This is a very fine, classic hotel. I prefer these kinds fo properties. The rooms are very large, comfortable, and well appointed. The restaurant is good for breakfast--but there are plenty of other places to eat, so dining inthe hotel is not a priority.
