$$-$$$$, Coconut Grove
Fodor's Review:
Since dropping its Wyndham affiliation, the future of this hotel seems in doubt. Furnishings are becoming slightly old-fashioned. Which is a shame because, with its unusual Aztec-inspired, stepped facade ending in a nice pool deck, the Grand Bay is like no other hotel in South Florida. Atypically spacious terraces in every room -- perfect for private dinners -- with sweeping views of Biscayne Bay set it apart. This is probably the perfect time to get heavily discounted rates at an otherwise high-end hotel. Pros: Big balconies, nice bay views, and unconventional architecture. Con: Older property.
