On a bluff above Hilo Bay, this 5,400-square-foot modern home is 2 mi from downtown Hilo. Four impeccable rooms with patios have been freshly painted and spruced up by new owners Maria Macias and Ricardo Zepeda, as has the private loft, which is ideal for families. All rooms have grand ocean views and are within earshot of lapping waves. Fresh flowers add a warm, European touch. Maria and Ricardo serve a full hot breakfast every morning on an outdoor deck or in the kitchen's bay-window dining area.
