Fodor's Review:

We love this clean, well-lighted place on a back street where chef Kevin Hanney dishes up diner chic, including macaroni and cheese glazed with house-smoked Parmesan and topped with savory breadcrumbs. The kim chee steak, a sort of teriyaki with kick, is a winner. Go early (5) or late (8:30). Enjoy wonderful, homey desserts. There's a small, reasonably priced wine list. Reservations recommended.

Pretty good...

The first time I came here, my friends and I ate tapas style, ordering and splitting some appetizers. The server was great, letting us sample a couple of the wines to decide which would go best with what we'd be eating. The second time I went with my husband and he had the chicken fettucine and I ordered the popular pork chop. I thought the chicken fettucine sounded boring, but boy was I wrong! My husband never raves about anything but said he wanted to go back immediately just for that dish. The pork chop was pretty good, but not stellar. Again, the service was wonderful and helpful in educating us on wines. Our most recent visit was with another couple. I decided to try the lamb, despite the server's recommendation to avoid it. Trust the servers--it was definitely not as good as the previous dishes I'd had. Overall, it's good food, cozy atmosphere, great service and just a tad pricey.
