$-$$, Waikiki
Fodor's Review:
The location (a 10-minute walk from the Hawaii Convention Center), three phones in each room, and the 24-hour business center meet the requirements of the Doubletree's global business clientele, but the smallness of the property, the staff's attention to detail, the signature Doubletree chocolate chip cookies upon arrival, and the Japanese-style furo deep-soaking tubs resonate with vacationers. The mezzanine of this 19-story high-rise has rotating exhibits of local artists' work, and the gym is open round-the-clock. All rooms have lanai, but they overlook the city and busy Ala Moana Boulevard across from Fort DeRussy. To get to the beach, you either cross Fort DeRussy or head through the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
