Papier-mâché wrestlers pop out from the walls at this small creperie. French crêpes with Gruyère, and Indian wraps with lentil curry are among the choices, all served with wild greens and sour cream or chutney on the side. The giant curry bowls are mild but tasty, served with delicious chutney. For dessert there are crêpes, of course, filled with chocolate, Nutella, cane sugar, or banana.

Best food on the island

Lot of fancy places in West Maui, Mama's Fish House, and a few local places in Kahului-Wailuku get publicity on how wonderful their food is. But in my opinion, Cafe des Amis has THE best food, regardless of price range. The ingredients fresh, presentation simple, flavors wholesome and exotic, and price relatively inexpensive. Trust me on this one.RATING: 4.4
