Chicago Botanic Garden

Gardens / Arboretums, Glencoe

Fodor's Review:

See the spectacular spring blooming season or the beautiful display of mid-June roses at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Among the 23 different gardens are a three-island Japanese garden, a waterfall garden, a sensory garden, and a 4-acre fruit-and-vegetable garden. Three big greenhouses showcase a desert, a rain forest, and a formal garden with flowers that bloom all winter long. Standout special events are the Antiques and Garden Fair in April and the Railroad Garden in summer.
