We're not huge fans of the ubiquitous restaurant chain, but the hotel -- flashy, loud, and packed with plasma TVs -- has our approval. Set within the 40-story Carbide and Carbon Building, it touts modern rooms adorned with rock-and-roll paraphernalia and a brilliant dining concept called China Grill. Ask for a tower room, which offers striking views of Michigan Avenue, Millennium Park, and the Chicago River.
