Fodor's Review:
The city's most celebrated pastry chef, Mindy Segal, strikes out solo at Hot Chocolate, a hit with, as you might expect, a really great dessert selection. For the big finish, there's chocolate mousse, baked pear, buttermilk cake, apple pot pie, and a myriad of milk shakes and hot chocolate flavors with homemade marshmallows. How sweet, and how swamped, it is. PS: the menu also has upscale café fare like pork chops with spaetzle or a tuna melt with wild capers. But who came here for the real food?
