$$, Brighton
Fodor's Review:
In a residential neighborhood between Boston University and Boston College, on the line that divides Boston from Brookline, this motel is well priced and well maintained, if unremarkable. Most rooms have kitchenettes, and there's a supermarket two blocks away. The T is less than a block away, but with its ethnic shops, cafés, and Olmsted and Kennedy sights, Brookline itself is worth exploring. Pros: Close to neighborhood shops and restaurants, economical option for parents visiting BU or BC students. Cons: Slow T ride to downtown, dated decor, marginal breakfast.
