Parnassus Book Service

Fodor's Review:

Parnassus Book Service, occupying a three-story 1840 former general store, has a huge selection of old and new books -- Cape Cod, maritime, Americana, antiquarian, and others -- and is a great place to browse. Its bookstall, outside on the building's side, is open 24 hours a day and works on the honor system -- tally up your purchases and leave the money in the mail slot. Parnassus also carries Robert Bateman's nature prints.
