Families flock to this sensibly priced miniresort, taking advantage of the many amenities, large rooms, patient and friendly staff, and the fact that kids are nearly always certain to find plenty of other playmates here, especially in summer. Rooms contain simple but updated modern furniture. The poolside Cabana Grill serves lunch in July and August (it's open until 4:30). Once you've stayed here once, you're eligible to receive the Cape Point's unbelievably low-priced off-season specials. The hotel puts together some great golf packages with a number of local clubs, and the same owners run the Mariner Motor Lodge and the even more affordable Town 'N Country Motor Lodge. Pros: Great for families with kids, reasonable and attractive golf package deals, close to all area attractions and restaurants. Cons: Not for those looking for a quiet retreat, no beachfront or water views.
