The Benjamin

$-$$$$, Midtown East

User Rating: **** 4.4

Fodor's Review:

From the elegant marble-and-silver lobby with 30-foot ceilings and a sweeping staircase to the argon gas-filled windows that reduce street noises to near whispers, this place pleases in ways seen and unseen. Elegant rooms are done in warm beiges and golds, extensive in-room offices come with personalized business cards, and you can choose from more than a dozen pillow options for your plush bed. A small spa and clubby restaurant make it easy to relax here. Note that no rooms have two beds, so the clientele leans toward business travelers and couples.

I would stay there again

The hotel is in a great location and has a very friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable, but I agree with other reviews with regard to the bathroom. Not only are the bathrooms small, but the sink is small which leads to frequent spilling and overflow. We used a lot of towels to dry the floor after using the sink. However, I would stay there again with no reservations.
