This spacious and informal diner is a cut above most other inexpensive restaurants, and it's open until 3 AM on weeknights and 24 hours on weekends. The chef's salad with grilled chicken is a must, as is chicken sorrento made with sautéed artichokes, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes. For dessert there's chocolate-cream pie.

Hungry? Why wait...Eat at Landmark!!
Posted by bigclem from Leland, North Carolina on 5/29/07
My experience at Landmark Diner was heavenly!! I was a little skeptical at first about the place being that it was in the middle of "mexican-ville" but my girlfriend insisted that we try it and I want to first thank her for choosing this diner. Now I would like to commend everyone who has something to do with Landmark Diner. That place really exceeded all of its expectations and my expectations...and my girlfriend's too!! My advice to a future customer, EAT AT LANDMARK...and order the "Fried Half Chicken"!! I live four hours away from Charlotte and I would go there everyday if I could.

If this is the best Charlotte has to offer....

If this is the best Charlotte has to offer than don't come to Charlotte. Maybe a lot has changed since the others have reviewed the Landmark but it is a waste of time/money. Maybe it is the fact that noone really knows what a diner is? Located in the heart of "I don't speak a drop of English", this quaint little sore thumb offers Waffle House food at Ruby Tuesday's prices. Oooh I got a BLT for 8 bucks, what a deal. If you are going to this "diner" for a good cup of coffee with your food, don't be dissapointed when it comes out old, cold and something your 2 year old could have made. Dare I say I would rather eat at Waffle House, I shudder the thought but YES.

Landmark Caters To A Diverse Crowd
Posted by Rosanna from Charlotte on 1/8/06
Living in Charlotte for the past 27 years has enabled me to appreciate the best of what Charlotte has to offer. The Landmark is one of those down-to-earth eateries that never dissapoints. From the Greek selections to favorite Southern dishes, Landmark provides an unpretentious outlet to late night club-goers, early morning golfers and mall rats. Charlotteans and visitors alike should give Landmark a try for a vast array of mouth-watering selections.

A New York/Jersey style diner dropped in the middle of Central Ave
Posted by William from Charlotte NC on 12/31/05
This is not "hi-falutin" dining. They have a wide-ranging selection and generally excellent food (folks who do not like pork chops go there to have pork chops). People go there pretty much to eat. It is a family run place with a loyal clientele. The atmosphere is nice but not elaborate. The wait staff are generally competent, not obsequious, and not impressed with the demands of the pretentious. The desserts and breads (ranging from delicious to amazing) are all made on site, with the obligatory dessert case as you walk in. They do a big business in take-out containers as many patrons do not finish their entree, and almost no-one finishes a meal AND dessert.
