Fodor's Review:
The gentrified neighborhood in which this casual spot resides doesn't lack for charming older houses. Even so, 300 East makes its mark, and not just because of its brightly hued signage. The bold contemporary menu -- pork tenderloin with banana-mango salsa and saffron rice, for instance, or penne with duck and lobster -- attracts a hip and eclectic bunch. Choose a table in one of the private dining nooks and crannies, or outside on the open-air patio. Here, people-watching is as much fun as eating.
