A cheap-date spot, Andolini's caters to college students who hide out in tall booths or on the rear patio. The dough and sauce are made daily, and the cheese is freshly grated. Toppings include the expected, plus banana peppers, feta, jalapeños, and extra-tasty Italian sausage. Call in advance for take-out.

The best Pizza in the US is not in NY or NJ or Chi town, it is in Murray KY. Having gotten that out of my system this is a great place to get a slice or a pie. IF not the best in the greater Charleston area it is tied for first. The topping are first rate, they don't skimp on quality or quantity. The sauce is near perfection, not overpowering just right with a hint of basil and oregano. The Crust is very good but not perfect. Overall this is a great place to eat well cheap. There are several locations in greater Charleston to choose from, all are packed for lunch and dinner. If you have a lear jet you might want to fly to Murray Ky to eat at Toms Pizza. If you think you need to fly back to NY or NJ to eat a good pizza, do us dumb southerners a favor fly back and stay there.

Wow... these comments posted previously are pretty rough. Andolini's Pizza IS real NY Style... and it's the best I've had for years and certainly the best in Charleston (I've tried over 15 others). Thinner, crispy. Tangy/spicy sauce but as any Pizza connoisseur knows... It's all about the CRUST!!! Best crust I've ever had (maybe the best sausage too). Service is light and friendly. Atmosphere fun (though nothing fancy). All in all a great "joint." Go to Andolini's... Pizza, Calzones (awesome!) & cold, crisp salads... You won't be dissapointed (and phooey on those who "claim" to know NY pizza and say this ain't NY style)

blah, blah, blah. Nothing special. Nothing really good. Teens might like it.

With all the good food in Charleston, why would anyone think about having bad pizza?

Andolini's is about as good a pizza as you will find in Charleston but it just doesn't compare with pizza from NJ. Pizza is too thick to be called thin crust pizza. Sauce is not sweet enough. Sauce is not brought out to the edge of the pizza. Atmosphere is too noisy.
