Cafe Paloma

¢-$, Cafe, Pioneer Square

Fodor's Review:

You might swoon over the interior of this tiny café close to several art galleries, with its decorative bronze trays and big baskets full of glossy eggplants and tomatoes. Along with coffee service, there's light lunch and dinner fare (served Thursday-Saturday in summer only) with a Mediterranean/Turkish accent: handmade dolmas, hummus, and baba ghanoush (an eggplant puree made with yogurt -- not tahini -- in this case). The daily lunch specials can veer toward down-home American, though: a juicy pork tenderloin is frequently the centerpiece of the midday meal.
