Fodor's Review:

At Emerald Lake, a vivid turquoise shimmer at the base of the President Range, you can rent a canoe, have a cup of tea at the tea house by Emerald Lake Lodge, or take a stroll around the lake. The lake is a trailhead for hikers, cross-country skiers, and snowshoers.

lovely place to canoe

This lake is very greenish, hence the name. It is lovely, but smaller than lots of other lakes. Great place to canoe, you can rent there. There is a trail around the lake, be aware in August the yummy berries attract bears.
