One of the Gulf Islands' most well-appointed developments fills a secluded cove on South Pender. A nautical-theme lodge and a scattering of two- and three-bedroom cottages overlook a marina and a forest-framed cove. All units have fireplaces, heated bathroom floors, and decks or balconies with stunning ocean views; most cottages have private ocean-view hot tubs. The restaurant serves Pacific Northwest fare, and the lounge offers high-end pub meals. A waterfall tumbles over a steam grotto outside the lavish spa. Activities include whale-watching, vineyard tours, yoga classes, and kayak tours.
