Bon Rouge

Bon Rouge Review

Craving a croque madame or a prawn crepe? Bouillabaisse, salade niçoise, or maybe just a really classy bacon-and-Gruyère cheeseburger? This casual bistro just off the Inner Harbour serves West Coast takes on French classics and has one of the city's nicest covered patios. Two inside rooms are done in high-energy red, white, and black; outside is a big shady space warmed by fireplaces, framed in greenery, and cooled with a wall fountain. There are sidewalk tables, too. The chef sources fare from nearby farms for the crepe-and-egg brunches, casual lunches, and romantic dinners. You can even buy fresh baguettes for a picnic to go.
