Pig BBQ Joint Review
The food's as no-nonsense as the name at this funky little downtown barbecue corner that dispenses with such niceties as table service and plates. No matter—the overflowing pulled pork, brisket, or smoked chicken sandwiches served on butcher paper are hearty and delicious. Add a side of beans or cole slaw, or for a heart-stopping mashup of southern 'cue and Canadian homestyle cuisine, there's also pulled pork poutine. Beer, iced tea, or bourbon wash it all down. If you're headed to the West Shore, stop at their mobile Pigmobile, located at 1913 Sooke Road, in the Colwood Corners Plaza parking lot.
