Fodor's Review:

This ultrachic, ultraluxurious chain took a risk opening its first Canadian hotel in a city whose major language is almost devoid of the letter "w." The famed "whatever, whenever service," for example, becomes "service top désirs." Not as alliterative, but the idea is the same. Want rose petals in your bathtub at 3 AM? Just call. The hotel is housed in the old Bank of Canada building, but you'd never know it once you walk through those whooshing sliding doors into the modern lobby. The bright, airy guest rooms are decorated in various shades of gray highlighted with electric-blue pinstripes. Faux-fur throws on the beds allude to Montréal's commercial past, and the bathrooms have deep, square tubs and sinks. The mezzanine-level Plateau bar is popular with local professionals, while the late-night Wunder Bar attracts celebrities. Pros: huge bathtubs; fastest room service in town. Cons: slightly out of the way of major sites.

If you're in Montreal on business, avoid at any cost. After 9:00pm, the hotel lobby becomes a meat market.... I had to wait on line in the cold to have access to the hotel. The bouncer/doorman did not give a damn that I was a hotel guests. He was too busy flirting and trying to impress young blondies... Poor housekeeping. Never got my wake-up call. It's true that the poor girl at the front desk could barely hear what I was saying, music was way too loud to entertain the night crowd.
