Pumpkin Festival Review
In early October, the one-day Pumpkin Festival, part of a larger region-wide celebration, starts with a giant pumpkin weigh-in (some are over 800 pounds) and culminates in a regatta involving supersized pumpkins that are carved into boats and raced across Lake Pizzquid.
