Université Ste-Anne Review

Université Ste-Anne is the only French-language institution among Nova Scotia's 17 degree-granting colleges and universities. Founded in 1891, this small university off Highway 1 is a focus of Acadian studies and culture in the province.

The Rendez-vous de la Baie Cultural and Interpretive Centre, which opened on the campus in 2010, offers an overview for visitors. It includes Acadian-themed exhibits, an art gallery, a theater space, and a boutique as well as a utilitarian Internet café (¢). 902/769-1234. wwww.rendezvousdelabaie.com. $5 for exhibit halls, other areas free. Sept.-June, daily 7-4:30; July-Aug. daily 7 am-8 pm.
