Blue Willow Tea Shop

Blue Willow Tea Shop Review

The dozen or so petite tables are set with blue-willow-pattern china in this quaint restaurant serving traditional English fare on the Muskoka Wharf overlooking the bay. Afternoon tea—a three-tier platter of shortbread, scones with Devonshire cream, and savory finger sandwiches, plus a pot of tea per person—is served every day from 2 to 4 pm, for C$20. Other than tea, sandwiches, such as grilled bacon and Brie, quiches, and specials like homemade stews are offered for lunch. Popular items on the short dinner menu include baked fish and chips, prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, and classic bangers and mash. The attached shop sells loose leaf teas and other food items for your own tea party at home. It often opens for special meals on holidays.
