Café Diplomatico
Café Diplomatico Review
Holding court over a central Little Italy corner since 1968, Diplomatico is popular for one reason: its big sidewalk patio with umbrella-shaded tables, one of the best in the city for people-watching. The food and drink are ho-hum (apart from good Italian desserts), with garden-variety beers on tap and a few so-so wines. It's really all about the outdoor space, which is open from 8 am daily and has one of the few neighborhood kitchens serving after midnight.
