Swirl Review

This itty-bitty, bespoke wine bar with flirty Parisian flair was carved out of a petite second-story one-bedroom apartment. The pretty decor is quirkily shabby-chic, with wooden farmhouse chairs set at reclaimed antique sewing tables. Everything is compact, including the well-chosen, reasonably priced wine list (glasses start at $6; bottles are C$30-C$40 on average), the handful of interesting beers, and the food (pâté, pickled quail eggs, chocolate cake), most of it pre-made and served in pickling jars.
