O'Leary

The center of Prince County is composed of a loose network of small towns; many are merely a stretch of road. In the tradition of their forebears, most of the local residents are farmers or fishermen and farmers driving their tractors through fields of rich, red soil or colorful lobster boats braving the seas are common sights. This region is known for its magnificent red cliffs, majestic lighthouses, and glistening sunsets. Woodstock, north of O'Leary, has the Rodd Mill River resort, which offers lots of opportunities for outdoor activities. Woodstock is also a good base from which to visit one of the Island's best golf courses and a rare woolen-crafts shop.
