Northumberland Ferries sails between Wood Islands, PEI, and Caribou, Nova Scotia, from May to mid-December. The crossing takes about 75 minutes, and the round-trip costs approximately $60 per vehicle, $80 for a camper or RV; foot passengers pay $14 (you pay only when leaving the Island). A fuel surcharge is added, so ask about this when booking. There are 18 crossings per day in summer.
