La Petite Boîte Vietnamienne

La Petite Boîte Vietnamienne Review

Red walls, dark furnishings, and flickering tea lights make this little hideaway a favorite for date night, but the magic doesn't end with the romantic setting—the "Little Vietnamese Box" is making big waves in the Québec culinary scene. Owner and chef Nhung Le swirls influences from both "here" and "home"—smoked salmon tucked in a spring roll; duck breast with Hanoi flavor; even a spicy Asian fondue. For traditionalists, it's one of the better places hereabouts to try pho—a hearty soup made with rice noodles and served with fresh basil, bean sprouts, and lime. Save room to sample Eastern-inspired desserts, such as fruit fritters with maple syrup or green tapioca pudding.
