Le Grand Lodge Review

This Scandinavian-style log-cabin hotel is on 13½ acres on Lac Ouimet. Accommodations, from studios to two-bedroom suites, are spacious, with kitchenettes, stone fireplaces, and balconies that overlook the water. The indoor-outdoor café, the Whisky Bar, which serves light dishes, also looks out on the lake. The more-formal Chez Borivage, which has a good wine cellar, specializes in French cuisine. Although the resort attracts a sizable number of business travelers here for conferences, it caters to families as well, with day-care facilities, a game room for teens, and activities that include making summer bonfires on the beach and taffy on the winter snow.
