Auberge La Goéliche Review

This English-style country manor (rebuilt in 1996-97 following a fire) is steps away from the St. Lawrence River, and the small but elegant rooms, decorated with antiques, all have river views. Classic French cuisine ($$$$, table d'hôte only in the evening, reservations essential) includes Chef Frédéric Casadei's specialties such as beef filet mignon with wild mushroom sauce and cold cantaloupe soup flavored with ice cider and garnished with prosciutto and pancetta. The romantic dining room overlooks the river; an enclosed terrace is open year-round.
