For something more luxurious than the standard sleepy inns of Baie-St-Paul, the new Gauthier venture opened in 2012 consists of five distinct pavilions housing rooms in various styles, including lofts and dormitories. Riders of the Le Massif train are swept right into on-location train station, and packages are available that include both the train fare and overnight stay. Like everything the Gauthier family touches, a high emphasis is placed on style. Interior design, different in every pavilion, marries clean lines and splashes of color with oversize prints that draw from the region's pastoral past. The hotel's three eateries spotlight local cuisine fresh from la ferme (the farm).
