Days Hotel & Conference Centre-Toronto Downtown

Fodor's Review:

Unlike many other downtown properties, the Days Hotel has resisted the temptation to increase room rates exorbitantly, attracting international travelers and conference goers. The location is within walking distance of the major neighborhoods, without the expense of being right in the thick of them. Functional blond-wood furnishings and sunshine-color walls lend a modern Scandinavian aesthetic to the rooms. The Beer Cellar, Windows restaurant, and a quiet little coffee shop are on-site. Pros: good value, good location for Downtown, large pool. Cons: false fire alarms have occurred, on-site restaurant lacking, front desk staff at times indifferent.

  • Hotel Details: 538 rooms

  • In-hotel: restaurant, bar, pool, gym, laundry facilities, public Wi-Fi, parking (paid), some pets allowed, no-smoking rooms.
  • Credit Cards: AE, DC, MC, V
  • Metro: College

It's okay but not the best

I went to Toronto in 2005 with my dad and his friend. We stayed at the Days Inn. There was problems at the check-in and check-out. The elevators were very slow and noisy. The gift-shop, the tour desk, and the restraunt are the only things I can complement on. What's worse, the garage has a electric door opener that needs your parking ticket. After the door closed after we tried opening it, it wouldn't let us back in until we got a new ticket. I wouldn't recommend staying there but it is near a lot of locations to visit.
