Fodor's Review:
An artist-and-actress couple owns this architecturally distinct 1882 Victorian B&B in the hip Queen West area. Latin American artifacts and paintings, acquired during the hosts' travels, decorate the colorful, one-bedroom Mexican Suite. Hand-painted scenic murals cover the walls and ceilings of the panoramic, two-bedroom Ontario Suite. Both have direct access to an outdoor deck overlooking the backyard garden. The third room is smaller and a bit spartan. Breakfasts might include homegrown raspberries from the hosts' yard. Note that this B&B is open in the late spring and summer only. Eclectic stores, art galleries, and ethnic restaurants are within a few minutes' walk, and there's 24-hour streetcar service nearby. Pros: owner extremely hospitable, original artwork very popular with guests, high repeat clientele. Cons: no Internet access, long walk or transit to downtown core, open seasonally.
