Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre

Fodor's Review:

These two ultramodern, glass high-rises and their landscaped courtyard take up an entire city block. Rooms in both towers -- the north tower is Vancouver's tallest building -- have floor-to-ceiling windows with views of water, mountains, and city. The best views are above the 14th floor or in one of the corner rooms with two walls of glass. Rooms are chic and spacious with exceptionally comfortable beds and original, often local, artwork. The upbeat, modern public areas are decorated with bright colors and an eclectic variety of art (including the world's largest collection of African pygmy art). Pros: Amazing metro Vancouver view from higher floors, intriguing Ayurvedic spa, doggy packages with dog bed and special menu options. Cons: So modern that "cool" actually feels a bit cold; location in no-man's land between downtown and Yaletown.
