Fodor's Review:
Surrounded by tall evergreens, it's easy to see how this Asian-infused, West Coast-style house earned its name. Located on one of Kerrisdale's main thoroughfares, the inn is surprisingly quiet. Rooms mix modern comfort with Eastern influences such as Japanese arts and crafts; swamp coolers take the place of air-conditioning. At 700 square feet, the Tree Top Suite is spacious and private, with a four-poster bed, sitting area, deck, and skylighted bathroom complete with 50-air-jet Jacuzzi. In-room spa massages can be arranged. Breakfast is a gourmet affair, or you can enjoy a self-catered Continental breakfast in your room or a Bag Breakfast to take with you. Pros: You feel like a houseguest, personable service. Cons: The sun doesn't always get through all those evergreens so rooms feel a bit dark.
