Fodor's Review:
This longtime favorite, set on a bluff over a mile of private beach, has several options: adults-only phone- and TV-free rooms in the Lodge at the Beach; ocean-view rooms and suites, most with kitchenettes, at the Headlands; and self-contained cabins, some with hot tubs, suitable for families. The decor throughout defines West Coast rustic elegance, with recycled timbers, woodsy colors, and a smattering of antiques. Each lodge has an expansive common room with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and far-reaching ocean views. Pros: It's truly secluded, with an almost exclusive beach; ideal for adults seeking peace and privacy, and families seeking spacious cabins at reasonable prices; there's a good dining room, too. Cons: A lack of amenities like room service and in-room Wi-Fi.
