Fodor's Review:

This cedar lodge lies along glacier-fed Green Lake on 45 acres of private forested land, about 3 km (2 mi) north of the village. The rooms and suites are large, with private entrances and window seats set before expansive views. The restaurant is a romantic retreat that serves Pacific cuisine including seafood, pasta, steak, and venison. Continental breakfast is complimentary. Whistler Outdoor Experience runs an activity center here, providing guests and nonguests with fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and trail rides in summer, and snowshoeing, sleigh rides, and cross-country skiing in winter. Pros: A real resort away from the hustle and bustle of the village, great restaurant, idyllic location and views. Cons: Must have car or rely on public transport to reach the village, staff is friendly but laid-back about service, lots of weddings so booking ahead is essential.

Can't imagine why you'd stay anywhere else in Whistler

The Edgewater in Whistler was spectacular. So superior a location to the others in Whistler. I couldn't imagine why someone would stay anywhere else in summer or winter. The view from our room was simply sublime. So spectacular with wonderful food and great ambience. Not exactly rustic and definitely worth every 3 stars it holds.
