Captain's Choice Motel Review
In the summer, overflowing flower boxes surround this downtown Haines motel. While the accommodations are relatively plain, the staff is helpful; you can even have meals delivered to your door courtesy of the Bamboo Room restaurant. The second floor opens onto a deck with tables and chairs, and the patio down below serves as a nightly meeting place where guests can enjoy libations and conversation. A new lounge next to the front desk is a good spot for a post-fishing cocktail. Most rooms have great views; the honeymoon suite has a hot tub.
