Bar Harbor Restaurant

Bar Harbor Restaurant Review

Though a quick glance at the menu doesn't give the impression that one of Southeast's, if not Alaska's, more inventive chefs owns Bar Harbor, that is indeed the case. Even Southeast standards like fried halibut and chips are a notch better here. The chef brought all he learned at culinary school back to Ketchikan, and visitors and locals are the better for it. His joy in cooking comes through in every bite of his food. The tiny blue-and-white house on the waterfront makes for a cozy spot to dine, but if you can, try to get a seat on the back deck. Oh, and, inside or out: get the Gorgonzola fries.
