Yupiit Piciryarait (the people's way of living) Museum

Yupiit Piciryarait (the people's way of living) Museum Review

The Yupiit Piciryarait (the people's way of living) Museum emphasizes cultural education through Native elders, while also showcasing artifacts and artwork of three Native cultures: Dene Athabascan, Cup'ik, and Yup'ik. In its galleries you'll find historic and prehistoric treasures: masks, statues, and carvings in ivory, baleen, and whalebone. The permanent collection features past and present clothing styles plus numerous implements and tools used in traditional subsistence lifestyles of the people inhabiting the Yukon-Kuskokwim region.
