Alaska Airlines is among the major carriers serving Alaska from Seattle, and it flies within Alaska to most major communities. Peninsula Airways serves the communities on the Alaskan Peninsula, the Aleutian and Pribilof islands, and parts of the Interior and northwest.

Many Anchorage and Fairbanks air taxis serve the bush in addition to bush-based carriers such as Bering Air, which also offers local flightseeing tours and, weather and politics permitting, specially arranged charter flights to Provideniya, on the Siberian coast across the Bering Strait.
