Taylor Museum
Taylor Museum Review
A small local museum with pioneer and Native American exhibits, the Taylor Museum celebrates July 4th by "firing the anvil" at sunrise. At 4 am revelers place an anvil on the ground, a newspaper and gunpowder on top, then another anvil. When the gunpowder is lighted, the anvil flies a few feet into the air with a deafening bang. The rest of the year, the anvil resides at the museum along with the Jennings drum, which was brought to town by early Mormon settlers.
